Meet the Staff

Sue, Hygienist

When I was first licensed to practice dental hygiene over 30 years ago I established certain standards for my work environment.  Two of these standards were that I would only work for a dentist whom I could trust to treat my family and me, and who was ethical and respectful of my professional contributions.

One of the rewards of working with Dr. Gentile is his collaborative approach to patient treatment.  He is committed to providing the best comprehensive care for each patient and expects the same from his staff.  To this end, he gives his dental hygienists the freedom to investigate and offer any adjuncts available to encourage optimal oral hygiene and he encourages information sharing following any continuing education courses we attend.  Our practice takes a holistic approach to patient care and carefully customizes our approach to each individual from the toddler to the mature adult. I particularly enjoy working with our special needs patients, many of whom would not have the opportunity to be treated in other general dental practices.

When I’m not in the office I enjoy reading, yoga, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends.

Kim, Hygienist

I feel blessed to have been working for Dr. Gentile for the past 13 years. The quality of work and the personalized care given to all our patients makes me feel proud to be a part of such a great dental team.

I married my high school sweetheart in 1996 and we have 3 beautiful children. They keep us very busy with all their activities.  In my free time, I enjoy reading, bike riding, tennis, and watching football.

Sheryl, Hygienist

I have been a Dental Hygienist for 35 years and have been licensed to practice Dental Hygiene in 5 states.  I have been a practitioner in Dr. Gentile’s office for 11 years and have never met a better person both professionally and personally.  He is a true mentor in my life.  I feel honored to have him as my employer and educator.  He is ethical, conservative, caring, and the emotional levels of concern for his patient’s well being are of the highest standard.  As for my personal life ,the  last of my  four children just graduated from High School (a big milestone in my life) and now I have plenty of time for all my out of work hobbies. Those hobbies are cooking, reading, bike riding and traveling.            .

Sheryl is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Dental Hygiene and Applied Science.  She is Laser Certified and has been with Dr. Gentile for 11 Years.

Meg, Hygienist

My name is Meg and I have been a Registered Dental Hygienist at Dr. Lawrence Gentile's office since 2004.  I love working there with the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.  But the main reason I love working there is being able to work for such a great employer and dentist.  Dr. Gentile is both passionate and compassionate about his work and treatment of his patients and staff.  He offers the best in equipment, asepsis, and continuing education for himself and his staff.  As far as his chair side manner his name just happens to perfectly suit him.  He wants his patients to enjoy the most comfortable dentistry with the best result.  He is also genuinely concerned that his patients experience optimum overall health and enjoy a healthy smile for a lifetime.

I spend my free time with my son enjoying outdoor activities such as swimming, hiking and biking. I also enjoy other activities such as traveling, reading, music and watching movies.

Meg is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Parkland College with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene and from Eastern Illinois with a BS in ED. Meg has been with the office for 9 years as a Hygienist.

Lynn, Hygienist

I have worked with Dr. Gentile and his amazing staff for seven years.   We are a wonderful, caring team with an outstanding leader in Dr. Gentile.   We provide current dental education in a comfortable setting.
I am from Wisconsin and remain a big fan of the Pack, the Badgers, and the Brewers.   My husband and I enjoy all sports especially cycling and Nordic skiing.

Lynn is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Marquette University.  She has been a Hygienist for 26 years of which the last 7 have been in our office.

Paula Receptionist

I have worked with Dr. Gentile for 22 yrs.  My greatest pride comes from seeing the confidence our patients show in Dr. Gentile.   I can't tell you the number of calls I have received from patients, who have moved away, asking for his opinion on dental problems or questioning their new dentist's treatment plans.  I also see it in the patients who had first came in as children and now have brought their own children in to become patients.

I am married to a wonderful guy.  I enjoy golfing, sewing, painting and hiking.

Paula graduated from ITT Tech School in Dental Assisting and has been with the office for 22 years.

Donna, Assistant/Receptionist

I have worked for Dr. Gentile since 1978 when my first job was to assist Dr. Gentile at Darien Dental Associates.  I also worked for Dr. Gentile some evenings at this office, Aurora Fox Valley Dental Associates.  My husband and I were transferred out of the area and when we moved back in 2000 Dr. Gentile became our family dentist. I was re-hired by Dr. Gentile in 2006.

I believe Dr. Gentile to be a very gentile caring person.   He believes highly in restoring and keeping your existing teeth and is a great believer of preventative dental care. From the words of most of his patients he is like his name gentile!

We love working with our patients of all ages to comfort them, listen to them and remove any fear of dentistry that they may have.

My husband and I grew up on the South Side of Chicago and have 3 wonderful children.  We are very blessed to have moved back  into the Chicago area near our family and friends.

Donna graduated from Morton Jr. College in Dental Assisting.  She has been with the office for 11 years.

 Carol/Dental Assistant

My dental assisting career began when I was at Westmont High School in my senior year.  An opportunity to attend a vocational school in Addison presented itself and there I studied practical and clinical dental assisting.  Since then I have worked in General Practices, Orthodontist offices and a dental laboratory.  I started working for Dr. G in 1999 and I have found that he genuinely cares about his patients and their needs.  He is very patient and has great communication skills.  It is a great place to work.

Carol attended Davea-Dupage Area Vocational Educational Authority and has been with the office for 14 years working as a Dental Assistant.

Joselyn, Dental  Assistant

It’s been my honor to be a part of Dr Gentile’s team for seven years. I praise Dr.Gentile for being such a great dentist to all his patients. He provides the highest quality patient care, a commitment to continuing education, and love for dentistry. He always strives to exceed his patient's expectations, and he will make your dream smile his ultimate goal.

I graduated from Dental School in Centro Escolar University, Manila, Philippines and became a licensed dentist in 1992. I practiced dentistry for 4 years before moving to the United States with my family. We have been blessed with 2 beautiful children. I also work part time as a licensed practical nurse in a nursing home in Bolingbrook. I love providing for the care and the well-being for elderly patients. Joey has been with the office for 7 years working as a dental assistant.

It has been a great experience for me working for Dr. Gentile for the last 2 years.  The staff is very experienced which has been a great advantage for me while I finish up my undergrad degree in biology.  While my life is very busy I still find time to exercise and work out several times a week.
